PM reviews security as FATF briefed on charity laws
–Charity laws being implemented across country, Ministry of Interior tells FATF
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office “to discuss matters of security” after multiple briefings by the Pakistani authorities to the Finance Action Task Force (FATF) who are here to evaluate the measures taken to curb terror financing and money laundering in the country.
According to a statement issued by the PM Office, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Inter-Services Intelligence director general, Foreign Affairs secretary, interior secretary, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG and senior civil and military officials were in attendance.
“Security matters were discussed during the meeting,” the statement said without further elaboration.
